SignUpNow

SignUpNow is the training and technical assistance arm of the Virginia Health Care Foundation's Children's Health Insurance Initiative.

SignUpNow is an initiative created by the member organizations of the Virginia Coalition for Children’s Health and is an integral part of VHCF's Children's Health Insurance Initiative.

SignUpNow services include:

Individualized technical assistance for community organizations on initiating and implementing enrollment activities, as well as on assistance regarding best practices, regulatory changes and other relevant matters;
Free workshops to help community workers identify eligible clients and assist them with the application process.
Customized workshops for selected audiences are available as needed (primary funding for these workshops is provided by the Virginia Department of Medical Assistance Services); and
www.signupnowva.org -- a site designed to inform and connect Virginia’s growing child health outreach network.

SignUpNow also provides detailed support materials, including:

A comprehensive Tool Kit containing child health insurance forms, brochures, posters, client handouts, fact sheets, step-by-step instructions and lists of resources;
An Online, On-Demand Training Course based upon the curriculum of the 3 hour health insurance workshop;
A newsletter providing updates on FAMIS/FAMIS Plus, highlights of best-practices in outreach and enrollment, and notices of new resources, upcoming workshops, conferences and funding opportunities (View a PDF of the Spring 2008 SignUpNow Outreach newsletter);
Special issue briefs alerting organizations to emerging issues;
"How To” guides to help organizations implement successful outreach strategies; and
A toll-free help line for community workers assisting families. Staffed by the Virginia Poverty Law Center,the line is a resource for outreach workers who have questions regarding policy, eligibility rules or issues; and trouble-shooting for local efforts or individual cases that become problematic.
