CELEBRATING 25 YEARS BY AWARDING $25,000 IN PRIZE MONEY
2017 was the Virginia Health Care Foundation’s 25th anniversary!
VHCF created the Prizes for Progress contest to mark this important milestone and to do something special for our dedicated health safety net partners. As part of our Prizes for Progress contest, we asked both current and former grantees to share how VHCF funding has made a difference to their organizations. We received over 35 submissions – all sharing wonderful stories about how VHCF funding has helped each organization develop and succeed over the last 25 years.
In fact, the submitted stories were so fantastic that we ultimately decided to add an additional second place prize (for a grand total of $35,000 in prize money!) rather than attempt to break the tie for second. We also named four honorable mentions whose submissions deserved special recognition.
