Health Insurance for Virginia’s Children and Pregnant Women: Income Guidelines

*Income levels for FAMIS MOMS, FAMIS Plus and Medicaid for Pregnant Women are calculated on gross income with deductions.  That means that deductions for certain expenses (child care expenses, work deduction, etc.) are taken prior to comparing a family/pregnant woman’s gross income to these charts. A person could make a little more than the income listed and still qualify.

Also note that a pregnant woman counts as two (2) people when applying for Medicaid for Pregnant Women and FAMIS MOMS — and would count as more than two people if the mother was pregnant with twins, triplets or other multiple births.
