Roundtables and Professional Development
The Virginia Health Care Foundation is committed to building and strengthening Virginia’s health safety net.
In addition to providing grant support, VHCF also convenes topical roundtables and sponsors professional development classes and seminars for current grantees.
Topical Roundtables
Virginia's health safety net providers gain greatly from VHCF's semi-annual roundtables, which include:
 |
Nurse Practitioner Roundtables: open to Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants working in Free Clinics who are interested learning/sharing new tools and resources and networking with their peers.
|
 |
Mental Health Roundtables: open to safety net organizations who currently or plan to offer
mental health services. |
 |
Tooth Talk: open to dental providers interested in sharing best practices and learning effective
ways to grow and strengthen Virginia's dental safety net. |
Professional Development
VHCF makes $650 available annually to current VHCF grantees to increase their nonprofit management skills. Before registering for classes or seminars, organization staff should read the Scholarship Assistance Program Guidelines (.doc). If the course falls within the program guidelines, and upon pre-approval from a program officer, reimbursement will be issued within 30 days of receipt of the VHCF Scholarship Assistance Program Reimbursement/Report Form (.doc).
