Northern Neck Free Health Clinic

Dr. Baylor was the key organizer of the Northern Neck Free Health Clinic (NNFHC) when it opened 10 years ago. He served a 3-year term as the clinic’s first President, and has been Medical Director for the past 7 years.

He has been intimately involved in the clinic’s medication programs, establishing a dental program, developing protocols and procedures, and conducting quality reviews. Under his leadership, an outreach clinic was established to provide access for residents in the outlying areas of the five counties served by NNFHC.

Dr. Baylor is also the “main cheerleader rallying volunteers.” It is largely through his efforts that 95% of local physicians provide volunteer time to serve free clinic patients. He also sees patients twice a month and comes in every day to check on the clinic and provide support and consultation for the nurse practitioner.

“Dick Baylor possesses a humble demeanor and is quick to give credit to others.” Patients and colleagues describe him as a thoughtful, dedicated and supportive physician.
