David & Janet Ferguson
Shenandoah County Free Clinic

As a Board member of the newly established Shenandoah County Free Clinic, David Ferguson volunteered to spearhead the fundraising efforts. He found a partner to address this daunting task in his wife, Janet. Starting from scratch, David and Janet Ferguson created a fundraising campaign that raised over $175,000 in this remote rural area!

The Fergusons rallied friends and other community members to assist as donors and fundraising volunteers. They made countless calls and presentations to local civic groups, planned a letter drive to local businesses and churches, and organized and motivated teams of volunteers in eight towns.

David and Janet created a long-term vision for the clinic’s fundraising efforts. Through sheer determination and perseverance, they have established a plan that the clinic will benefit from long into the future.
