Dr. Haun is one of the three primary founders of the Shenandoah County Free Clinic. She believed that the clinic could be started when many others had doubts, and dedicated herself to making it happen.

When the new clinic opened, Dr. Haun didn't stop working to make it a success. In fact she continues to serve on the Board of Directors and on key committees overseeing the clinic's work. But more importantly, Dr. Haun donates a substantial amount of time and skills to serve the clinic's patients.

Other volunteering physicians typically volunteer one night a month. Dr. Haun is the sole provider of mental health care, and she works every night the clinic is open. She sees adults and children alike. There is no situation too severe for her to handle.
