Pamela Pearce Murphy
Shenandoah County Free Clinic

Taking a leap of faith five years ago, Pam Murphy became the Executive Director at a clinic that didn’t exist, and turned the vision of its small board into a reality.  As the sole employee, she managed the renovation of a donated building, secured donations, and established the necessary systems and processes.

Pam has added dental and mental health services, trained the board, and garnered the volunteer services of nearly 100% of the area’s physicians and other health professionals.  As a result, this little free clinic treated 540 patients via 1,814 visits last year.

“Pam Murphy is unparalleled in her energy, work ethic, and dedication to serving the uninsured of Shenandoah County.”
