Unsung Heroes

Unsung Heroes are dedicated volunteers, gracious donors, exceptional physicians, extraordinary teams, remarkable employees and child health champions committed to providing primary health care to uninsured Virginians and those in medically underserved areas.

These Unsung Heroes are role models who have provided excellent service, commitment and dedication to an organization that has received a Virginia Health Care Foundation grant.  Selected by a distinguished panel of judges, not only do the Unsung Heroes themselves receive accolades, their organizations win as well, receiving a $2,000 check from the Virginia Association of Health Plans.

Nominations are now open for the 2012 Unsung Hero awards.  Find out more about Nominating an Unsung Hero. All nominations must be received by January 26, 2012.
