Mt. Rogers Medication Assistance Program


The Mt. Rogers Medication Assistance Program (MAP) is a partnership of 10 service sites in the Mt. Rogers Planning District (PD3) in Southwest Virginia. Each of the community partners has medication assistance case workers on staff who use The Pharmacy Connection to help access free medications for uninsured individuals.

Hundreds of Amelia, Dinwiddie, Greensville and Lunenburg residents now are able to obtain medicines they desperately needed but couldn't afford. Thanks to an RxRelief Virginia grant, Southern Dominion Health System employs a full-time Medication Assistance Caseworker (MAC) who uses VHCF's The Pharmacy Connection software to access free medicines from pharmaceutical companies’ Patient Assistance Programs.
