Looking for Care?
Community Health Centers are located in areas of Virginia that do not have enough providers (underserved areas). They provide primary care to anyone regardless of income or insurance, typically on a sliding fee schedule. (Find a Community Health Center near you.)
In addition, some localities in underserved areas have Free Clinic. (Find a Free Clinic near you.)
Looking to practice in an underserved area?
- The Commonwealth of Virginia offers incentive programs that will repay outstanding medical education debt in exchange for medical service in a medically underserved area. - The Virginia Community Healthcare Association (formerly known as the Virginia Primary Care Association) is the membership organization for all of the Community Health Centers in Virginia.
