Behavioral Health Workforce Survey Results – 2013
To determine the behavioral health workforce capacity in Virginia, VHCF surveyed Virginia’s Community Health Centers, Free Clinics and Community Services Boards, as well as Licensed Psych-Mental Health Nurse Practitioners (PMHNPs) and other nurse practitioners.
The highlights of each of the Behavioral Health Workforce Surveys can be found below:

VHCF will be using the survey results, along with other research, to explore ways to build behavioral health capacity in Virginia’s health care safety net.
The survey was presented to Virginia safety net providers at the December 2012 VHCF Mental Health Roundtable, which also included presentations on New Approaches to Meeting Children’s Mental Health Needs and Health Care Reform: Legislative Choices Affecting Virginians.
The research and Roundtables are just two of many Mental Health Provider Resources VHCF provides.
