Virginia Neighborhood Assistance Program

Your contribution to VHCF may be eligible for Virginia’s Neighborhood Assistance Program (NAP). NAP offers Virginia state income tax credits to individuals and eligible donors of qualified, participating organizations. Please click here to learn more.

Gifts of Securities
VHCF accepts gifts of appreciated stocks and other securities. Contact Kathryn Zapach at (804) 828-5801 for information prior to making your gift.

Matching Gifts
Many companies match the charitable gifts made by their employees. Check with your human resources office to see if your gift to VHCF qualifies for a matching contribution.

Workplace Giving
Donating to VHCF through the Commonwealth of Virginia Campaign is easy. VHCF participates in workplace giving campaigns across the Commonwealth of Virginia.

Honorary and Memorial Gifts
A gift to VHCF is a thoughtful way to honor or remember a loved one or to celebrate a special event. Your gift will be acknowledged with a special card sent to you or the honoree.

Bequests 
Including VHCF in your will can help you reduce estate taxes and provides you with full control over your assets during life. Please consult your financial advisor to discuss your options.

Other Planned Gifts
With planned giving, you may be able to enjoy a variety of tax benefits while also supporting VHCF. Consider designating VHCF as a full or partial beneficiary of a life insurance policy or making a gift of funds beyond your needs from a pension plan or Individual Retirement Account. Please consult your financial advisor to discuss your options.

In-Kind Donations
