Project Connect Grants

A special category of VHCF grants works to increase the number of Virginians enrolled in Cardinal Care (Virginia’s Medicaid/FAMIS programs). Project Connect grants fund application assisters who help individuals and families apply for, enroll in, and renew eligibility. Project Connect grants are made possible with funding from the Virginia Department of Medical Assistance Services.

While VHCF’s existing Project Connect grantees continue to make record progress enrolling individuals/families in Cardinal Care, no new grants are being made at this time. If new funds become available, VHCF will issue a special request for proposal.
