Medicaid/FAMIS On-Demand Training

For a list of SignUpNow‘s upcoming live, in-person training workshops, please click here.
SignUpNow‘s online training curriculum is based on the live workshops the project conducts on Virginia’s Medicaid/FAMIS programs. This training is made possible through funding from the Virginia Department of Medical Assistance Services.
In each 15-60 minute module, you will learn information about an aspect of Virginia’s Medicaid/FAMIS programs. The modules include information on:
- the programs;
- non-financial and financial eligibility guidelines;
- how to complete the application for coverage (paper, online, and telephonic versions);
- how long someone is on coverage and how to renew their benefits; and
- the services the programs cover and how those services are accessed once a person is enrolled.
Included below the link for each module are the slides, PDFs of handouts referred to in the module, and links to other helpful information pertinent to the module topic. If you are new to the subject matter, it is recommended that you view the modules in order. Note: “Section X” or “Handout” on the bottom right corner of a slide refers to the section in the SignUpNow Tool Kit where you can read more about the topic or a specific handout referred to during the training.
